Easy Daily Habits to Strengthen Your Faith

When life gets hard, it's your faith that gets you through. This is why it's important to develop daily habits that strengthen your faith. While going to church does help to keep one's faith alive, continual prayer is also important. The Burna Group study discovered that 69% of Christians had prayed within the last week.

This is commendable, but ideally, prayer is meant to be a part of your daily life. So here are some easy daily habits that will keep you closer to God.

Dedicate Your Day to God Every Morning

When the day is new, you should always be full of hope that God will bless the day for you. You can cement this belief by praying first thing in the morning and dedicating your day to God. This enables you to start your day in the right frame of mind, so you'll be able to handle any challenges that come along throughout the day.

Engage in Daily Spiritual Reading

Spiritual reading is one habit that should never be neglected. It's how you stay focused on the Word of God and its directives. Therefore, you should spend at least 15 minutes engaged in spiritual reading, whether it's the Bible or any other recommended spiritual book.

Schedule A Heart to Heart Talk With God

During the day, you should find at least 15 minutes to commune with God. Find a place where you won't easily be distracted, so you can tell God all your troubles and the important events in your life. Always remember that God loves you, and you'll find comfort and happiness in sharing your life with Him daily.

Ask God for Forgiveness and Direction Before Bed

Before going to bed, it's also important to seek the Lord's presence as you review your day. The point of this exercise is to keep yourself accountable as a child of God. Throughout the day, were your actions in alignment with how God's Word says a Christian should behave? Thank God for helping you stay on the right path and ask for forgiveness and direction in any areas you're failing as a Christian.

If you're looking for easy but powerful habits that will strengthen your faith, then these habits will keep you in good standing. Practice these habits diligently and daily, and they will get you through the many trials and tribulations of life. Don't forget to attend church regularly, for the Bible says, in the book of James, if you draw near to God, he will also draw near to you. Amen.
